Our creditors provide a service and trust us to pay what we owe on time. When we complain about paying our bills and when we make late payments without contacting our creditors, we are interrupting the flow of our good. When we pay our bills with gratitude and love, we will be pleased with the return. We enjoyed the services and the products, and we can enjoy paying for what we have received.
…As in Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. As in Chilli of TLC. As in the TLC performing this weekend at Pepsi Funk Fest!
Are you ready to receive your good? Do you know the Law of Giving and Receiving? Jesus taught a very simple process: “Give and it shall be given unto you.” This process can be applied to your business and social relationships. Practice giving in a small way. See yourself as a steward of God’s inexhaustible supply. Bless and multiply everything that you give. Be a happy, cheerful giver. Know that you have more to give than appearances reveal.
That salmon and rice couldn’t have looked THAT good!
For thousands of years, we have been taught to focus, not on what brings us joy in the current life, but to focus on joy as a layaway plan. We believed, only after our transition would God reward us. The good news is, we are awakening and recognizing that we must put ourselves first in order to give of ourselves. Yes, put on YOUR spiritual oxygen mask first, so you can assist others. Begin with you, then you will become a wellspring of love, compassion, and understanding.

Today’s “Somebody’s Gotta Say Somethin'” is a special “Stop The Music” edition of Ryan Cameron’s candid commentary. Over the past 6 weeks in his “Black Apathy” themed series, Ryan has addressed many issues facing our community including the “pack mentality” our youth have today and their take “it” over earning “it” approach to everyday life. With more and more young people who don’t care, are using crime to gain notoriety, going to jail and coming out wearing that sentence as a badge of honor instead of being ashamed Ryan and Wanda felt it necessary to hear from the youth on what lead them to make the choices they’ve made.
Today’s situation comes from Janae who has worked hard in high school and is about to head off to college. There’s just one thing that she feels like she’s missing after putting in a lot of work to keep her 4.0 GPA. She wants a car. Jenae thinks her parents are calling on her to take responsibility for a lot of activities but aren’t supplying her with what she really needs to be able to fully achieve what they want from her and what she wants from herself.
As we make time to be in the right mind give thanks for the blessing of life. Make the most of your time on this planet by inviting God to be a part of your daily activities. Seek guidance in every area of your life. Recognize that when you do life God’s way, your life will be more than you could ever dream. Doing life your way often does not provide you the results you desire. When you take time to ask and to listen to God, you can be assured that God’s direction will lead you to your highest good.
