Dubbed Emperor of Atlanta radio, Dwayne Searcy, also known as Emperor Searcy has been a staple in the music industry for over 25 years. As a BME Executive and Co–founder, Searcy is no stranger to the Who’s Who of Atlanta platform. (Honored in 2010 and 2011), and honored by Source Magazine (2001–2008) as “One of Hip Hops Most Influential DJ’s.” Searcy is a dedicated father who encourages others to be involved in their children’s lives. In his free time he serves as a humanitarian within the community, earning him the 2010 “Simon Korbon Community Service Winner” of the year award. This award recognizes significant contributions of a metro Atlanta individual in the radio industry who “embodies the spirit of compassion and dedication in improving the lives of young children and families.” Emperor Searcy founded the Searcy Foundation to promote health and wellness amongst children. Other charitable programs include his “I am a Father Day” Events, “Searcy Santa” and his involvement with “All Pro Dads” where he encourages fathers to take part in their children’s lives.
Emperor Searcy has shown that he is not only a leader in the music industry, but also in the community that he serves. The majority of his community involvement is spearheaded by his own efforts, which speaks true volume about ones character. Hard working but always humble, Searcy is a true radio professional.
