Big Tigger, the Official DJ and in game host for the Washington Wizards, has earned a name for himself as one of radio and television’s most distinctive personalities. His Djing and hosting talents keep him in demand for celebrities from Shaquille O’Neal to Michael Jordan, as well as corporate entities such as Nike and Macy’s. He reaches millions of fans weekly as the host of his internationally syndicated countdown show, “Live In The Den With Big Tigger”, as well as his Emmy nominated entertainment TV program on DC’s CW50 Network, “Direct Access with Big Tigger”.
Well-known for his silky smooth tenor, Big Tigger entered the television scene performing voiceovers for BET in 1997, while still working the radio circuit. Within 2 years, fans were watching him on-camera, on Rap City’s “Hip Hop News” segment. From there, he swiftly advanced to become the co-host in its 10th season. Internal changes at BET led to the reform of Rap City into “Rap City: Tha Bassment”. As host, Big Tigger was a prime factor in
the show’s success as the longest-running nationally televised hip-hop show. After a 6 year run Rap City: Tha Bassment, which featured the hottest DJs and artists in hip-hop, plus the very popular “Booth” segment allowing the multi-faceted veejay to showcase his freestyle talents, aired its final program on January 17, 2005. From there he would go on to host “BET Style” and the ever popular “106 & Park” on BET from 2005 – 2007 as well as numerous special projects including “The Blueprint” and “Spring Bling”. He served as the Co-host and “Voice” of the 2011 Soul Train Awards alongside Cedric “The Entertainer” and currently still performs a variety of hosting duties during the annual BET Awards.
