UNCF Mayor’s Ball Celebrates 33 Years In Atlanta: Maria Boynton Reports.

It was in 1983 that then-Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, along with Mrs. Billye Aaron, founded the UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball. The annual fundraising gala, according to UNCF, raises unrestricted dollars for the organization’s support for local students. When the annual event is held this Saturday at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta, the highlights will include performer Sheila E., and Comedian J. Anthony Brown as master of ceremonies.
