‘Shirley Caesar Has Had Enough Of Y’alls Foolywang!’: The Ryan Report

It’s going to take A LOT of green to satisfy Shirley Caesar‘s lawsuit regarding that #UNameItChallenge song many know as just “beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes…”

The gospel legend has reportedly filed an injunction and a cease and desist order alleging that Georgia’s own DJ Suede The Remix God illegally released the reworking of a portion of her classic “Hold My Mule” sermon, included negative imagery in its accompanying video and has cost her lost wages.

“Shirley Caesar says she wants $5 million,” Ryan Cameron said in today’s Ryan Report.

“Shirley Caesar ain’t had a hit in how long?!” Wanda Smith countered.

“That has nothing to do with this,” Ryan continued. “You can’t jack somebody’s song and make a video. That’s copyright infringement. That’s a law.”

The pastor said, ‘Dont twerk to this!’ ” he added.

“They dancing for Jesus,” Wanda insisted playfully. “Hallelujah!”

“The man that just rapped [in the song] about ‘He had some good weed’; and said, ‘Thank you
granny for the sweet potatoes.’ He’s going to hell!”
