The GBI is investigating a police involved shooting at the courthouse annex in Clayton County. It happened in Jonesboro around 9:30 this morning. Reports indicate that a Clayton County sheriff’s deputy was forced to shoot a man following a struggle. Officers had apparently told the man, who was there on a child support matter, that he couldn’t use his tablet or cellphone in court. It all apparently turned into a dispute with deputies attempting to place the man into custody. When he resisted, reports go on to indicate, the man was tased and then shot in the buttocks. The man’s identity has not been released.
