Then Minaj raises Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West – in the context of his 2005 hit single “Gold Digger”: “She says: ‘I am so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race…It wasn’t funny when Kanye said it.”
“She’s right,” noted Wanda Smith. “He REALLY did it. But people can like who they like.”
And apparently some people didn’t like how she put that – thinking she was criticizing West. So then came this clarification: “I was saying he’s the one who said it first. He doesn’t apologize for his choices. He tells the truth about stuff people don’t wanna hear.
“I said he wasn’t kidding. He was speaking the truth about [the] industry.”
