Almost six months after his death, people continue to celebrate Prince.
Last night those people were music industry legends such as Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, who along with Mint Condition, Morris Day, Tori Kelly and more paid tribute to the late superstar in his home state, Minnesota.
And “apparently it was epic,” Big Tigger reported in today’s Trending Topics. (As any four-and-a-half hour concert honoring “His Royal Purple Badness Mr. Prince” – as Tigger described him – should be.)
John Mayer, Anita Baker and Christina Aguilera canceled, but it in no way diminished the “supreme highlight” at the end of the show: “Purple Rain” followed by “an ominous recording of Prince’s voice saying ‘I love you.’ “
