And The Winner For Best ‘Black Love Matters Speech Of A Lifetime’ Is…Trending Topics

“Black magic, black excellence [was] recognized at The EMMY Awards,” Big Tigger declared in today’s Trending Topics.

Or as host Jimmy Kimmel established up front, if your show didn’t habe a dragon or a white Bronco in it, you might as well go home. (Translation: HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson: An American Crime Story” earned an armload of trophies.)

Also “on the melanin-plus side,” Tigger continued, “shout-out to my sister from another mister Regina King“; who won Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role in “American Crime.” “And she looked very awesome on the red carpet!”

And while this particular award wasn’t handed out last night in Los Angeles, Tigger hailed Courtney B. Vance – who DID win an EMMY portraying late attorney Johnnie Cochran in “The People” – for his “Black Love Matters Speech of a Lifetime,” which ended with this nod to his wife Angela Bassett: “Last but not least – to the woman that rocks my chain…this one is for you girl!”

Finally, speaking of “the hottest chick in the game, wearing [Jay-Z’s] chain,” Beyonce, she went 0 for 4 nominations during television’s biggest night.
