DeKalb County Police say they are looking for a 24 year old robbbery suspect who also threatened them on Social Media.
He is identified as William McCleod, the same man involved in a SWAT standoff this morning at the Avondale Forest Apartments off Mountain Drive. Police say McCleod had barricaded himself inside an apartment with 4 children. They were released unharmed. Authorities say they realized that McCleod had somehow escaped the apartment after tear gas was fired into the unit.
McCleod is being sought in connection with several crimes, including an armed robbery and battery on September 9, 2015, according to police.
They also claim McCleod posted that, if confronted by police, he would “go out with a bang” in posts on Facebook and Instagram.
