Kidnappers Demand 100K Ransom And Lead Police On Chase Through Atlanta

Police with rifles were in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood overnight trying to track down suspects wanted in a kidnapping. Reports indicate that it all started in East Point when five people allegedly grabbed a woman and then demanded a $100,000 ransom. There was a short chase with police into Atlanta. The SUV occupied by the suspects and the kidnap victim crashed into a building near Metropolitan Parkway. When one suspect got out of the vehicle with a handgun, he was shot in the leg, another was taken into custody. A search turned up two other suspects. One remains on the loose.

The kidnap victim was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained when she was allegedly pistol-whipped to the head. Reports identify her as Deborah Patrick. The suspects taken into custody are identified as 23 year old Terenzio McCurty, 25 year old Joshua Fowler, 50 year old John Penceil, and Demetrius Sims.
