Creative Ways to Stay Hydrated

As we approach the summer months it is imperative to stay hydrated throughout the day as much as possible! Even though water is great for you, not everyone likes the taste of water by itself…so below we have a list of creative ways to stay hydrated throughout the day!


  1. Eat It Up: Who says you can’t have your water—and eat it, too? According to the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations we should eat 20 percent of our daily water intake. Try eating Watermelon, Celery, Cucumbers, Strawberries & Lettuce.
  2. Drink It Down: Most beverages (non-alcoholic, of course) will help contribute to your daily water intake. But here are five drinks that will give you some extra benefits, too. Yes, even coffee! Switch up your drinks with Fat-free or skim milk, Smoothies, Sports Drinks, Coconut Water and Coffee.
  3. Drinking Water Apps: Whether you prefer filtered tap water or bottled water, drinking water is essential to keeping your body at its best. Try one of these five drinking apps; iDrated, Waterlogged, Daily Water, Eight Glasses A Day, OasisPlaces.
