As we get ready for the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which air on CBS at 8 p.m. this Sunday, Jan. 26th, I thought it might be fun to take a look back at the top 5 strangest GRAMMY moments!

1. When Milli Vanilli performed “Girl You Know It’s True” at the 1990 GRAMMY Awards it was hard to convince us that they were singing! Even by lip-synch standards, it was unconvincing. The GRAMMYs organization made them return their award in November 1990.

2. Ol’ Dirty Bastard was protesting in 1998 when Wu-Tang Clan lost out to Puff Daddy in the Best Hip-Hop Album category. “Wu Tang is for the children!” he insisted.

3. 50 Cent does a “drive-by” on the group Evanescence when the beat him out for Best New Artist. He ended up getting a “Thank You” for it though. LOL

4. For some reason, someone thought it was a good idea to mash up Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and Linkin Park at the 2006 GRAMMY Awards. I liked the idea on paper, but the soft-rock version of one of my favorite Hova songs, “Encore,” just threw me off!

5. So yeah, Nicki Minaj went all the way to the left with her 2012 GRAMMY performance of Roman’s Revenge, sparking talk of the Illuminati!
