He’s the Lowndes County teen whose body was found rolled in a gym mat at Lowndes County High school in January. Authorities ruled his death an accident initially , but recently an another autopsy showed Johnson had a blow to the head.
U.S. Attorney Michael Moore announced today that there is sufficient amount of evidence to reopen the case. A surveillance video taken at a Georgia high school shows Kendrick Johnson earlier this year as he walked into the gym and onto the basketball court, but does not show anything leading up to his death. Johnson’s parents believe he was murdered. Authorities are asking for anyone with information to come forth.
