Oh boy! What a weekend!
Ludacris took over Labor Day weekend with his 8th Annual LudaDay Weekend. Celebrities such as Usher, Swizz Beats,Young Jeezy, Tyrese, Raven Symone, Tika Sumpter, LeToya Luckett, Keisha Knight Pulliam, and more were all in Atlanta to partake in the weekend festivities.
I had the chance to attend every event throughout the weekend which started off with a dinner honoring individuals who have impacted their community in a positive way. The honorees included DJ Greg Street, Beats, Pulliam and Charles McCree.
That was one of the many highlights from the weekend which include a block party at Georgia State on Saturday and the “All White Party” Saturday night at Compound. Before making his debut appearance at the Celebrity Basketball game, Usher surprised everyone with his presence Saturday night at club Compound, as well as Future.
Although the weekend is filled with a lot of partying, the true essence of LudaDay Weekend is giving back to the community. This year The Ludacris Foundation raised close to $100,000. All of the money raised throughout the weekend goes to The Ludacris Foundation.
Sunday morning The Ludacris Foundation hosted a brunch with teenagers from the boys and girls club – which was my favorite part of the weekend. After the brunch it was all about the Celebrity Basketball game. Team Luda against Team Usher. The game went into overtime and in the end Team Usher took home the victory with 100 points; Team Luda, 91 points.
In the end I survived LudaDay Weekend. Check out some of my “souvenirs,” below!
