This week, we at V-103 and WAOK have chosen Big Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia as our church of the week. Big Miller Grove is known as “The city of refuge.” And they have a sincere desire to serve the Lord and are deeply committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Their outstanding Pastor is Bishop Miles Fowler. He has led Big Miller Grove for more than 30 years and believes in serving his church members and the community. Under his leadership, over thirty ministries have received their calling into the ministry and ten now pastor their own churches. Big Miller Grove has also helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity. And each year they take part in the March of Dimes charity walk.
Big Miller Grove is one of six churches in DeKalb county which make up the South DeKalb Church Federal Court Union, one of the first of its kind in the United States. And the church offers over 40 ministry opportunities for its members.
Big Miller Grove has a rich history of serving not only in DeKalb County, but around the world with their outreach ministry. Bishop fowler and members have taken part in medical missions to Africa, Haiti, and Jamaica.
It is for these reasons and more that we have proudly chosen Bishop Miles Fowler and Big Miller Grove Missionary Baptist church at 3800 Big Miller Grove Way in Lithonia as our Church Of The Week.
