I am Princess Monique, the owner and CEO of Makeup By A Princess, a makeup application company where we teach workshops on application of make up in its entirety.

I have worked as a fashion model, spokesmodel, and actress.

My professional makeup career began nine years as makeup consultant for Ebony magazine’s Fashion Fair Tour while also modeling as a runway, print and fashion model. After Ebony I began freelance artistry for celebrities, weddings, movie premiers, award shows (Emmys, Oscars, NAACP Image Awards, Soul Train, Kid’s Choice Awards – to name a few) makeup parties, and consulting for personal clients.

I also gained years of training from the No. 1 selling company – MAC Cosmetics – in 2003, for catalog, fashion show, television and film as well as photography makeup. I am a master at eye makeup and color.

And I’ve started this Makeup Mondays tutorial because I enjoy seeing the transformation of a person through the service that is provided. And the awakening that you see of the inner person when the thing that they thought could never happen actually does happen.

It’s life at it’s best. And that’s a beautiful thing.
