In the middle of the “anthem-gate” still brewing in Washington, D.C., you may have missed this: Gov. Nathan Deal invited Lexi Breed to sing the national anthem for his 2013 tribute & celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the King Family at the Georgia State Capital.
She is the daughter of the late MC Breed (“Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin’,” “Gotta Get Mine”) and attends Martin Luther King, Jr. High School.
