Flood Threat Looms In Front Of Possible Snow

Atlanta, Ga. (WVEE) — A flood watch, in effect for North Georgia. through Thursday night, covered more than a dozen counties and included Atlanta, Blairsville, Cartersville, Gainesville, Lawrenceville and Marietta.

Weather forecasters also said there was potential for freezing rain and some snow, later in the week. The weather service added, light snow could fall as far south as northern parts of the Atlanta metro area, but no accumulation is expected outside of the higher elevations in the mountains.
