What the casual listener could have easily mistaken as overhearing two buddies plotting how many clubs they can hit this weekend, was actually actor Lance Gross on the line promoting the Jan. 15 DVD release of his new film, “The Last Fall.”

“It’s me playing a football player, man,” the film and television actor from “Tyler Perry‘s House of Payne” told Big Tigger Tuesday. “I get cut from the NFL and I have to return home to my family; and everybody is under the assumption that I’m well off. They don’t even know I got cut. So that’s where the drama comes in – me dealing with that.”

OK, promotion done.

Now on to what a lot of women really want to know…

Tigger: “So the ladies told me to ask you when I got you on the phone, because you played a football player: ‘Were you in the gym? And is your shirt off in the damn movie?!

“I don’t want to know Lance…”
