And the finalists are…
As high school football playoffs continued around Georgia, teams from the Atlanta metro and surrounding areas punched their tickets and advanced to the championship games at the Georgia Dome next weekend!
The Class 6A championship game will feature Lovejoy – who had only one loss in the season – against undefeated Norcross. Lovejoy put 63 points on the board against North Cobb, while Norcross took care of business beating Colquitt County 41-27.
In the Class 5A championship game, Gainesville -which beat Whitewater 28-14 – will face off against Ware County, who won by just a touchdown over Northside Warner Robins; with a final score of 24-17.
Sandy Creek took care of business in week four of the playoffs shutting out Monroe Area 35-0 to advance to the Class 4A championship against Ridgeland.
Finally, in Class 3A, after taking out Cartersville Buford will take on St. Pius, who defeated North Hall 31-6.
