Instead of being Superstar Usher in London right now – where he was scheduled to be on this election day – Citizen Usher scrapped all his overseas plans to be back in his hometown of Atlanta, “with all y’all that’s in traffic right now,” so he can vote.
“I’m here because my vote matters more than anything,” Usher told The Frank and Wanda Morning Show.
And days ago, the seven-time Grammy winner says, that vote was in question because he was informed that his absentee ballot had been lost in the mail.
“So I was like, ‘Oh nah nah nah – Y’all not getting by with that one!
“I was like, “Change everything…turn the plane around!”
And it was with that same passion that Usher addressed a caller who said her boyfriend had yet to get up and vote in today’s presidential election; as well as rumors that there’s been trouble on the upcoming season of “The Voice,” in which the multimillion-selling crooner makes his debut as a coach.
