Bob Marley wrote and composed “Stir It Up,” for his wife Rita in 1967. It was originally made popular by Johnny Nash with his recording hitting the top 15 in Britain and America in 1972. “Stir It Up,” was the follow up single on Johnny’s I Can See Clearly Now album. This song was the first successful song Marley had that was outside of Jamaica
