Chris Brown is flooding the market with music and anticipation for his upcoming album Fortune. While fans have to wait until next week for the big prize, today (June 26) he released a new song from his Rarities & B-Sides digital collection. And he gets some help from a high-flying collaborator.
On the new song, “Get Down,” Brown teams with B.o.B. It’s a splashy affair that takes place in the club, complete with cash-rap and champagne bottle-popping.
“I hit the spot, the girls (get-get-get-get down),” Brown sings on the chorus. “Traveling around the world (get-get-get-get down)/ Oooh I know you like it girl…/ You keep wondering if I’mma throw this money/ If you stay around long enough you gonna see”
B.o.B. provides more of the same with lines like, “I got that lazy boy salary/ My pockets stay on recline…” Listen to the song here.
“Get Down” follows a string of what appears to be random song releases from Chris Brown. Last week he dropped the Polow Da Don-produced “Calyspo,” another track from the digital set of Rarities & B-Sides.
All the music leads to his main event album, Fortune, which goes in stores July 3. --E. Parker, CBS Local
