Simon Cowell was reportedly robbed by a woman he met in a nightclub.

A host of claims about the music mogul’s private life have been made over the last few days, many of which are excerpts from an upcoming book about his life.

Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell by Tom Bower will hit  shelves later this month and includes the alleged revelations that Simon had a  relationship with his UK “X Factor” co-judge Dannii Minogue and views his former  engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy as the biggest mistake of his life.

It’s now been revealed that the tome also includes details of a night of  passion that proved costly for Simon.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the book claims Simon met a girl in a  nightclub and took her back to his hotel. They spent the night together, but the  following morning the 52-year-old star awoke to find some of his personal  possessions were missing.

The woman apparently stole his wallet and a laptop, which was full of details  about Simon’s various hit TV shows. The police were alerted and the lady was  eventually tracked down thanks to CCTV footage.

It is not the only revelation Simon is facing today. A source has separately  claimed the star was once secretly engaged to a glamour model called Louise  Payne.

The pair were reportedly together for three years, with Simon asking her to  be his wife during a trip to New York City. Things apparently turned sour after  Louise expressed her desire to start a family.

“Simon was heartbroken. They tried to make it work but it all went wrong,” an  insider told British newspaper The Daily Star.

The pair are said to have met at a party in 1995, although they didn’t start  dating properly for another year.

“The relationship had its ups and downs. They split twice but he was so in  love with her he kept trying to make it work,” the source claimed

“After the third attempt, they split for good. It was just before he started  on Pop Idol. Louise wanted kids and he knew he wasn’t ready.

“He never stopped loving her, though. He was heartbroken.”
