Mystikal, the Louisiana rapper who recently landed a Cash Money record deal after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion, is headed back to jail for a probation violation.

On Monday (April 17) District Judge Tony Marabella sentenced Michael “Mystikal” Tyler to 90 days in prison, according to the Advocate.

Mystikal was arrested in February in Louisiana’s Ascensioin Parish for a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse. However, his release and probation required him to steer free of the law and the arrest found him in violation.

“It was an unfortunate incident between two people who have cared a lot about each other for 10 years,” Tyler’s attorney, Roy Maughan Jr., tod the Advocate about the domestic abuse arrest. He said the alleged victim and Mystikal have two children together.

The former No Limit rapper’s legal woes began in 2003. That’s when he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and extortion after his hairstylist accused him and his bodyguards of forcing her to perform sexual acts on them. He faced aggravated rape charges and a life sentence if he went to trial.

He was released in 2010 after serving six years and signed to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money recording home, releasing the single “Original” last month. He is scheduled to report to jail on May 14 to serve out his sentence.
