Though Atlanta R&B singer Monica and Los Angeles Laker Shannon Brown were actually married last year in a private ceremony, some 300 invitations started going out this week for a public viewing of the couple exchanging vows on July 9 – and we’ve snagged one of the remarkable extravagances for you!

And what may be even more remarkable is that Sandi Spells Designs, of College Park, turned this around in less than a week. Lucky for Monica, Spells has been crafting invitations for seven years – including many for Usher and Ne-Yo. “But I would say this is probably the most extravagant I’ve created,” said Spells, who designed it with partner Kendrick McNealy. “Definitely the heaviest. I’ve used acrylic and fabric before, but this is all acrylic. And usually something like that takes a month. But when she called, I just had an idea for the whole project.”
