Atlanta Public Schools today announced the dates of its Pre-kindergarten lottery for the 2011-12 school year that will determine who receives the designated state-funded Pre-K slots. To begin the lottery registration process, a parent/guardian must appear in person at one of the three registration sites on the dates specified. Read on to find out when and where.

The budget, number of classes, class size, staffing and school year calendar for the Pre-K program are determined by the state, which has not yet finalized these and other aspects of the 2011-12 program.
For more information, call the APS Pre-K Office at 404-802-3640 or visit ww.atlantapublicschools.us and click Pre-K. The results, will be posted at each Pre-kindergarten site by Monday, May 9. All parents and guardians who registered for the lottery will be notified of their child’s status.
